Ningxia has successfully conducted trade and trade negotiations with Uzbekistan
On 1 April 2026, a delegation of enterprises from Ningxia, led by the regional trade promotion association, met with representatives of Uzbekistan's food industry. The negotiations, organised jointly with the Food Industry Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, were aimed at developing practical trade and economic cooperation between the two sides.
At the opening of the meeting, Wang Cheng — Head of the Ningxia Trade Promotion Department — delivered welcoming remarks, as did representatives of the Industry Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. All parties emphasised their interest in expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

During the presentation, the Ningxia delegation highlighted the region's key strengths: the characteristics of local agricultural products, modern processing technologies and export potential. The Uzbek side was also briefed on state support measures and mechanisms for simplifying cross-border logistics.
In the course of the negotiations, the parties exchanged market data on supply and demand conditions and discussed specific areas for cooperation. As a result of the meeting, the participants recorded a number of agreements and outlined further steps.

Following the negotiations, the parties reached agreements on deepening trade and economic cooperation, expanded their channels of interaction and laid the groundwork for further joint efforts. The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere.
During their visit to Uzbekistan, the companies forming the delegation of food and industrial enterprises from Ningxia Province participated for the first time in the 25th Anniversary International Exhibition "Food Products, Ingredients and Production Technologies — UzFood 2026", as part of the large-scale Chinese exposition.
