Uzbekistan intends to label products according to content of salt, fat and sugar
At the first stage, from July 2021, labeling will be voluntary. At the second stage, from January 1, 2025, it will be mandatory. This applies both to products imported into the country and those produced within the republic.

Color marking is expected to convey reliable information to the consumer and help them choose healthier foods — excessive consumption of sugar, saturated fatty acids, salt leads to the development of cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension, diabetes.
