Foreign trade company Uztrade under the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan signed a partnership agreement with RVI, which is the leading subsidiary of the multi-format retail company of Russia X5 Retail Group.

As part of the document, the Uzbek company organizes the supply of agricultural products from Uzbekistan to stores X5

The companies agreed on implementation of joint projects in terms of planning the range and volume of production of goods.

In particular, Uztrade and X5 intend to introduce a methodology for coordinated operational and strategic planning of volumes, types, grades and other parameters of mutual trade in order to achieve the best economic results.

The parties expect that this will increase the supply of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan by another 30,000 tonnes annually.

According to the results of development of cooperation, Uztrade and X5 plan to consider issues about distribution of rights to trademarks and products, which will appear as part of implementation of the signed agreement.

The document also assumes interaction in the field of advanced training and competences of labor resources of Uzbekistan in the agrologistical and trade sectors.

In particular, it is planned to organize internships for Uzbek specialists on the basis of more than 13,500 stores and 40 X5 distribution centers in 64 regions of the Russian Federation.
