Iteca Exhibitions opens the event season in a new life conditions!
After a hiatus caused by the pandemic, Iteca Exhibitions is opening the 2021 exhibition season. Last year was particularly difficult for the economy of all countries and Uzbekistan was no exception. Practically all industries have been hit by the quarantine restrictions, while the world congress and exhibition industry among the hardest hit and will never be the same again.
The opening of the spring season imposes great responsibility on the organisers for the resumption of in-person business contacts in the new reality, in face-to-face mode. A new concept has emerged in the industry - "Safe exhibitions", which means holding events in compliance with all established protocols. Iteca Exhibitions, as the company that started the development of the exhibition industry in Uzbekistan, initiated and made every effort to bring the exhibitions in our country back to their usual format. A huge thanks to the Government that the "voice" of the organisers was heard and the holding of congress and exhibition events in Uzbekistan was made possible, provided strict requirements to ensure the safety of the health of participants and visitors of the event.
It is expected that the recovery from the pandemic will be neither quick nor easy for the company. Due to the news and the global epidemiological situation, which changes daily, Iteca Exhibitions does not exclude the introduction of quarantine restrictions, which may affect the planned events of 2021.
Recovery from the pandemic is expected to be neither quick nor easy for the company. Due to the news and the global epidemiological situation, which changes daily, Iteca Exhibitions does not exclude the introduction of quarantine restrictions, which may affect the planned events in 2021.
For example, the International exhibitions "Oil and Gas Uzbekistan – OGU" and "Energy – Power Uzbekistan" are postponed until next year, due to the newly introduced quarantine restrictions.
At the same time, the return of exhibitions after a long break causes general enthusiasm for almost all market players, exporters and importers. The pandemic has shown how important direct meetings are for the correct conduct and maintenance of business contacts. It is exhibitions as an effective tool that will play their role as a driver for economic recovery after an unprecedented stagnation during a pandemic. Participation in exhibitions is especially important for small and medium-sized enterprises, which form the backbone of any economy and for which they are the main sales channels.
The 2021 season untraditionally opens with the 20th Anniversary International Exhibition for Food, Ingredients and Production Technologies – UzFood 2021, which will be held from April 28 to 30 at the Uzexpocentre NEC. The participants included 122 companies from 21 countries. Companies from Turkey, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, including collective stands of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the Moscow and Omsk Oblasts, will be presented with a wide exposition.

Last year created a number of real problems, but it was also a year full of opportunities, the search for completely new solutions for organising business events of a new format. Looking into the future, we can say that now is the time to use this impulse, as we are ready to meet again in real conditions to do business, collaborate and develop.
